Taylor | Dalton {Petit Jean Wedding}

Hello everyone!

We are in FULL wedding mode here at Shingleur Photography. October is definitely wedding season in Arkansas! Before getting into wedding photography I always just assumed that people mostly got married in the summer, but October seems to be the peak wedding season. June and July are most of the time just too hot in Arkansas, so October is usually the perfect weather for an outdoor wedding.

Taylor and Dalton had a beautiful October day on Petit Jean last weekend for their outdoor wedding. It was so super gorgeous on the mountain with all of the leaves just starting to turn. It got pretty chilly throughout the night, but their cozy fire pits and cute quilts made it seem even more romantic. :) Taylor and Dalton are high school sweethearts and are so in love. Their day was full of laughing with fun family and friends.

We love it when brides put so much work into their wedding and make it totally personalized. Taylor, her family and friends put together every little detail and made it so sweet. We love taking pictures of those special details. It's a lot of work, but it is TOTALLY worth it!
They put so much work into their wedding, but we also have these fabulous vendors to thank for their beautiful day:
Hair: Carrie Reynolds from La House of Beaute, Russellville, AR
Makeup: Myra Hunnicutt from VSpa, Russellville
Wedding Dress: David's Bridal
Hairpiece: Wee Gardens on Etsy
Necklace: Cawacowgirlcreations on Etsy
Bridesmaid's Dresses: Target
Groomsmen Vests: Belk
Venue: Lighthouse Cabin on Petit Jean Mountain
DJ and photobooth: I Do Party Rentals
Caterer: Hawg Trough
Flowers: Taylor's Flowers
Cakes: Jessica Freeman

Enjoy! :)

 Taylor's bridesmaids were SO sweet. They basically dressed her from head to toe. :) Every girl needs friends like that.

Congrats you two!

Happy, Happy Sunday everyone!

Miranda | Brandon {Engagements}

Happy rainy Saturday everyone!

I love all of these summer thunderstorms that have been floating through this week, although they did kind of mess up some of our plans. (While writing this it started to pour, and I suddenly realized my bathing suit that I've been trying to drip dry since Wednesday was still out on the porch. Needless to say I am now soaked and cold and my bathing suit's in the dryer. :/ )
BUT, it is always nice to have rain in the summer, and it is always so cozy. :) Makes me want to cuddle up and edit 500 photos (haha).

Some photos that we recently have had the privilege to edit are those of Miranda and Brandon's. This past Tuesday we had a BLAST hanging out with these two old friends. Miranda, Lance and I all went to Pottsville High School together and we all hung out with the same group of friends. Mandy (as we call her) has always been a great friend, and it was so much fun meeting her new fiancé and catching up a bit. Those of you who know Mandy know that she is such an incredible person with an incredible story.

We started their engagement shoot at good ol' Potts Inn, and from there we visited an AMAZING historic house on Front Street in Dardanelle, AR. Dr.Worley, who owns the house, from ATU is a family friend of Mandy's and was kind enough to let us shoot in his amazing backyard. We finally ended the shoot at the Arkansas River sand bar. :)

Enjoy!

AHHHH! Mandy you are so GORGEOUS!!!!!! :)

So sweet! :)

Happy, Happy Saturday everyone!

Taylor | Dalton {Engagements}

Hello everyone and HAPPY WEEKEND!

Engagement sessions are absolutely one of the best things about being a wedding photographer! If you are considering having wedding photos taken and are not sure about having engagement photos, let me encourage you...HAVE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS! (haha) Engagement photos are a great way to get comfortable with your photographer which eliminates added stress on your BIG day! :)

We were so happy when Taylor and Dalton contacted us about their wedding photography. They are both from our hometown (Pottsville) and we have kept up with them through social media for several years. They met when they were in 9th grade and then became high school sweethearts. They are very down to earth and laid back. We had such a great time with this sweet, sweet couple, and the amazing Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch made a beautiful backdrop for their love story.

 I don't know why, but I absolutely LOVE ring shots (and Lance is always so good at them)

 An antique cooler calls for antique effects :)

 Taylor you are so gorgeous!!

We cannot wait for Taylor and Dalton's wedding on Petit Jean this fall!! :)
Happy, Happy Saturday!
