Lindley Rachel | A Baby Story

Lindley Rachel - A Baby Story

*Before we get into the blog post, I must have a disclaimer for these images. We do not offer 'labor and delivery' photography at this point. If you are looking to book someone to use during the special birth of your child, please contact me at I will gladly reference some other amazing photographers! This is a special offer for immediate family only. Thanks!*

I can't wait to introduce my baby niece to you! But before we get that far, let me introduce mommy and daddy! Larry and Laura Shingleur are the proud parents of their beautiful little baby girl! This is their first (of many...hehe) children, because Kathryn and I love being aunt and uncle!

I met Larry and Laura at the ER on Jan. 21, and we were hoping for a baby that night! However, we had to wait til the next day to meet the precious angel baby... the wait was SO worth it. Laura had a very easy delivery, and she made it look like a piece of cake! Larry was by her side the whole time rooting her on and keeping her encouraged! He did great too! Laura's dad, Dr. Andrew Monfee, was also in the room helping deliver. What a special moment for a grandpaw, or 'Grandy' as Lindley calls him, to receive his own grand-daughter!? The look on Grandy's face was priceless!

Here are a LOT of images from the delivery room... we usually don't post this many, but how can one narrow it down!? Brace yourself!

The Baby Book:
Info about my Daddy: I am 25 years old. I am currently employed at Arkansas Nuclear One as a Financial Analyst. I can not wait to meet you. I look forward to spoiling you and Mommy, teaching you how to shoot a basketball, and swing a golf club. Daddy loves you!

Info about my Mommy: I am 26 years old (yes, mommy is older than daddy). I am a Registered Nurse at St. Mary's Regional Hospital on the women's and children's unit. I am so excited to teach you cheerleading moves and dances, maybe even gymnastics! You can play sports with Daddy, too! We love you so much, baby girl!

Time was passing very very slowly that morning...

She finally dilated to a 9, and she asked for her make-up bag. Nothing like being in full-glam while in labor!

LET THE PUSHING BEGIN! My heart was beating out of my chest...literally. You could actually see my shirt moving on my chest with every beat of my heart. It was the craziest thing ever!

Laura would push in sets of three, 10 seconds per push. Then she would rest until she had another contraction. While Laura was resting, everyone in the room was glued to the Razorback Basketball game! Even Laura! I didn't know what to think other than: HELLO?! YOU'RE HAVING A BABY RIGHT NOW!!!!!

Larry was beyond supportive for Laura! He knew exactly what to say, and when to say it! He was so excited!

"You're doing great, babe!"
Grandy and Dr. Nelson suit up for the big delivery! Lindley is almost here!
Things just got real for Laura in this next picture! She looked at me and said, "Lance, this is about to happen..."

Larry's expression in this next picture has gone viral... literally. With over 11,220 views and close to 400 likes on Facebook, this has been our most 'seen' picture! I guess things weren't looking the way that they thought they would look!
 Grandy receives his granddaughter!

Look at the look on Larry's face now... He just realized that he has his own family, and has seen the face of an angel. Larry and Laura were both overwhelmed at this moment!

"You did it, babe! I'm so proud of you!"
 "We're a family!!!!"

Laura's dad hands Baby Lindley over to Daddy for the first time!

Okay. ANYONE that can deliver a baby and then take a picture and look like THIS has GOT to do some modeling. How gorgeous is this!?
First kiss as Mommy and Daddy!
 First Family Picture!

Meet Big Momma (Laura's Mom) and Grammie (Larry's Mom)! Love at first sight!

Life is such a beautiful thing! Something that so many take for granted! I said on Facebook one day, "Time and Life... two things that are so important to a photographer. When you get to capture both at the same instant, it becomes the most intense and magical moment. Lindley Rachel Shingleur was born on January 22, 2014 at 8:49PM. Life was a full speed and time stood still. It was a beautiful moment. She was 18.5 inches long and weighing in at albs and 15oz and has a beautiful head of hair! She loves her mommy and daddy with all of her heart. Capturing Life as a Photograph in the stillness of time blew my mind. We are so happy for Larry and Laura!"

Uncle Lan and Aunt Kat love you baby Lindley!

*Stay tuned for Lindley's newborn session!*
