Savannah | Victor {Mt. Nebo Wedding}

Hello everyone!

As you know this season is super hectic for photographers so we some how overlooked blogging such a sweet November wedding we had the privilege of being a part of! Savannah and Victor have had their wedding CD for a while now, but we wanted to go ahead and share it with the rest of the world too!

This crafty bride could really quit her job and go into decorating of all forms. She made her bouquets,  her centerpieces and even HER CAKE! Yes, she made her cake. It was delicious and so beautiful. We loved all of the personal details she worked so tirelessly on and her family was so welcoming the whole day. We came away feeling just like one of them. So what's on the menu for Thanksgiving guys? Haha!

The neutral tones that they worked into their wedding day matched perfectly with the vibrant Arkansas fall that was going on all around us. The cloudless sky made their ceremony SO romantic as well as all of the lanterns that they hung in the pavilion. Mt. Nebo is always such a sweet place to tie the knot.
You don't have to take my word for it, see for yourself...

Happy, Happy Tuesday!

Engagement Season {What We REALLY Do at Weddings}

Hey Everyone!

Kathryn and I were sitting on the couch last night talking about our business and how we not only want to keep grown at the rate we are, but we found it important to share with you guys what we feel have made our photography business successful... specifically wedding photography. A lot of times photographers are looked at as people who just show up on your wedding day, take pictures of the wedding events as they happen, and leave after the reception with no real connection made to anyone. Kathryn and I feel like it is a priority to do WAY more than that! Maybe we are over-working ourselves, but it's so worth it in the end!

When a Bride books with us, there are several things we will do. Obviously, we try to schedule their bridal portraits and engagement session right away because our dates go so quickly! However, there are a lot of things we do that most photographers do not. A wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of day, and it needs to run with perfection. This is where Kathryn and I feel the need to step in. We typically take on the role of a wedding planner on your wedding day. We send you a timeline of your day with every little detail planned out! We understand that Brides get stressed out with questions like "What time is the First Look, or bridal party pictures, OH! And family pictures...?!" Calm. Down. Breathe. We handle ALL of that! We take time with each individual wedding we book and make a timeline of the wedding day specific for that particular bride. WE send it to the bride and make changes until she is completely satisfied! All the way from pictures of the Bride getting ready, first look, bridal party, family pictures, ceremony, reception, cake cutting, toasts, garter/bouquet toss, down to the grand exit and more... we handle it all! Can you imagine how much stress all this would leave a bride? This is why we take it off her shoulders... she needs to enjoy her day and NOT be freaking out about this and that!

We are the ones making sure your hair is perfect in your pictures, making sure your mascara is wiped off from tearing up after your first look, fluffing your dress, pinning all the boutonnieres and corsages, rebuilding your bouquet when it falls apart, prepping you right before you walk down the isle, bustling your dress in the reception, teaching you how to hold the knife to cut the cake, how to stop and kiss in the tunnel of sparklers, etc. The list goes on and on and on and on, all done with us playing super SUPER low-key and almost invisible! We love taking care of our brides! It's just part of the package deal for us! I worked in event planning for 4-5 years prior to opening our photography business, so we definitely have you covered in all areas!

Our BIGGEST priority is becoming friends with our bride and grooms. It's so much more personal when a friend is photographing your wedding than just some random person! We love having brides and grooms all over the state of Arkansas that we can consider REAL friends!

It's way more than just showing up to shoot a random wedding... it's capturing a smooth sailing wedding day though photographs that will last our new friends a lifetime!

Happy Tuesday!
Lance

Alison | Will {Arkansas Engagement}

Hey Everyone!

We have been absolutely swamped, and trying to keep our neck above water has a whole new meaning! Hours and hours and HOURS everyday are spent sitting at this computer knocking out sessions and mailing them out to clients! We appreciate you patience and understanding!

BUT, as for today, we have the GORGEOUS Alison and her Fiance, Will! They were incredible during their shoot! I don't know if i have every laughed as much or as HARD as I did with these two! I think we did more laughing than we did shooting! Their precious puppy's joined us during there shoot, and the newest little baby puppy is absolutely everything! Soooo precious!

Alison and Will are getting married in Cozumel! Destination weddings are so fun and we are so happy for them! We wish these two the absolute best! They're so stinkin' cute!

Here's a look into their outdoorsy engagement shoot... complete with bonfire, smores, flannel, antlers, and of course TRUE LOVE! *SWOON*
