Smith Family | The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch - Dardanelle, AR

Hey Everyone!

Last night we had the most amazing family shoot ever! We met up with the family who owns The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch and that a BALL. I'm talkin' bow and arrows, tee pees, full-on flannel, cowboy boots... I mean, just name it!

Being totally and brutally honest, being hired to shoot this family was kind of a big deal for us! If you saw on my Facebook post, Lesleigh, mom, sees photographers work literally EVERY week. The Barn is one of the most prestige Wedding Venues in the USA! The competition can be stiff, and we are beyond honored to work for Lesleigh! She's and incredible designer, has such outrageous ideas, and absolutely loves to kick back and have a good time... her family too!

We see her son, Colten quiet a bit, as we are out at The Barn pretty often. He pretty much runs the place. What ever Colten says, GOES.... ain't that right mom?! I've told Kathryn many times that I wish I had full range of a place like The Barn to do whatever the heck I wanted! ...ya know, run around like crazy, climb and jump off things, chase the dogs, wrangle up some horses... limitless things to do out there! It's a kids DREAM!

As for the dad, Ken, we have met just a few times, but he has always been the nicest guy... I mean, you'd almost have to be to put up with Lesleigh! Haha! Just a joke, just a joke! In all honesty, this family is one of the most precious out there and you can tell that they are close-knit and nothing will ever change that!

Here's a look at their session! Nothing says WELCOME FALL like an Indian Head Dress and some flannel, right?!

Not everyone can look this bored when I say, "OK! Look really bored for me!" I'd say Colten totally nailed it!

"Alright... mom and dad, y'all sand here! Colten you stand right here... NOW SHOOT YOUR PARENTS!"

Happy Friday, y'all!

Keep watch for a behind the scenes look into this shoot and see what REALLY goes into a family session!
